Hi, I'm Stephen. I turn data into decisions by understanding the past and predicting the future.

My roots are in economics, when I learned about empirical methodology and econometrics (research design, causal inference, time series, forecasting, etc.). I have extensive experience with technologies like R, SQL, and Python.

I am always learning, and I enjoy teaching technical and statistical concepts to others. I specialize in "data science translation", taking datasets or algorithms and explaining the business implications to executive audiences through visualization and storytelling.

I work as a senior data analyst at Tremendous. I live outside of Indianapolis, where I’ve worked remotely since 2018.
